This role is ideal for a candidate who is Team Teach trained and has a passion for working with children and supporting their educational development.Key Responsibilities:Provide support to the classroom teacher in managing pupil behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support students with special educational needs (SEN).Engage with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups to ensure they reach their full potential.Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.Support students during break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.Implement Team Teach strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively and ensure a safe classroom environment.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the holistic development of students.Requirements:Team Teach training and certification is essential.Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a primary or secondary school setting.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on your own initiative.Good organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.Preferred Qualifications:Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.Experience working with children with SEN.First Aid certification is an advantage.
