Accelerate Teaching is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and forward-thinking secondary school in Bradford. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers to deliver high-quality education and providing students with the individual attention they need to thrive. Your experience and enthusiasm will help to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment where all students can succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted support to students, both one-on-one and in small groups, to help them overcome barriers to learning.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, classroom management, and the preparation of teaching materials.
  • Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they are fully included in all aspects of school life.
  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment, encouraging students to develop confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff members to monitor student progress and address any issues as they arise.
  • Contribute to the overall ethos and values of the school, participating in extracurricular activities and school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within an educational setting is essential.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • An understanding of the national curriculum and the challenges faced by students in secondary education.
  • Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
