They support over 80 pupils aged 5 to 19 with complex and profound special educational needs (SEN). The Role

We are currently seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team to start in September due to a team member's retirement. In this role, you will:

  • Assist in delivering specialist teaching and integrated therapeutic support.
  • Help students re-engage with learning and enjoy school life, especially those with long periods out of education.
  • Provide one-on-one, small group, and whole-class support to learners with SEN.

Position Details

  • Start Date: September 2024
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
  • Training: Full training provided, with access to free and fully funded qualifications.

Requirements

  • Relevant SEN experience
  • Experience (voluntary or paid) working with children and young adults
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons and educational activities.
  • Work closely with learners with SEN on a 1:1, small group, and whole class basis.
