Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Gloucestershire (with the ability to travel to Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire)
Salary: �14 - �15 per hour

Hours: Full-Time/Part-Time (depending on availability)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our educational team, supporting students and teachers either in Gloucestershire or in schools across the Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire area. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a positive learning environment, ensuring all pupils are supported in their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom environment.
  • Work with small groups or individual students, including those with special educational needs (SEN), to reinforce learning and ensure progress.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and classroom resources.
  • Help maintain discipline and promote good behaviour among students.
  • Provide feedback to teachers on students' progress and areas for development.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all students at all times.
  • Support students during non-classroom times, including lunch breaks, extracurricular activities, and school trips.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and assessment of pupils' progress.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent).
  • Experience working as a teaching assistant or in a school environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students' learning.
  • Flexibility to work in both Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire as required.
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to reliable transportation for commuting (if needed for Oxfordshire-based work).
Desirable:
  • Experience working with children with SEN or behavioural challenges.
