I am working with a Littlehampton school who are seeking an
enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant

to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for supporting children with specific educational needs to make a positive difference in a nurturing school environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to children with
    specific needs

    in class, small groups, and 1:1 settings.

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities, working closely with the class teacher.


  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children can thrive.

  • Support pupils with
    Cognition & Learning

    ,
    Language & Social Interaction

    ,
    Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

    ,
    Social Communication Difficulties

    , or
    Sensory Processing

    needs.

  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to ensure they receive the right level of support.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children, especially those with specific educational needs.

  • Minimum of
    English and Maths Grade C or 4 GCSE (or equivalent)

    .

  • NVQ Level 2

    (or higher) in a relevant field (desired)

  • A firm, kind, patient, and consistent approach, with the ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils.


  • Friendly and approachable with a willingness to engage in learning alongside the children.

Desirable Experience:
  • Experience supporting children with
    Cognition & Learning

    difficulties.
  • Knowledge or experience with
    Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

    and
    Sensory Processing

    challenges.
  • Understanding of
    Social Communication Difficulties

    and strategies to support children.
