We are looking for an outstanding candidate to provide the highest quality care and learning environment for children aged 2 to 4. The Early Years Teaching Assistant will support the Nursery Leader in delivering our Early Years Curriculum, inspiring, exciting, and nurturing children through this crucial stage of their development.

This Job Description outlines the main duties and responsibilities of the role, though other activities may be assigned from time to time in line with the role.

Key Responsibilities

Provide the highest levels of pastoral care, supporting children with medical or sanitary needs (appropriate training provided).
Implement a child-centred, safe, and welcoming Homely Environment within the EYFS Centre.
Create a safe, stimulating, and varied programme of play and learning opportunities, ensuring planning meets the needs of individual children.
Provide educational support for children with SEND and those with EAL needs, with help from the Head of Learning Support.
Assess childrens progress, maintain records, and provide written reports to parents/carers in line with school policies and schedules.
Carry out administrative duties related to the delivery of outstanding teaching, using technology to assist in lesson preparation, teaching, and reporting.
Organise the inside and outside provision, ensuring that resources and equipment meet the needs of the children.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure the daily care, supervision, and programmes are efficient and safe.

Leadership Responsibilities

Take responsibility for implementing an appropriate programme for nursery children, involving stimulating and relevant activities to develop their physical, mental, thinking, and motor skills.

Experience & Qualifications

Experience working in a Nursery/Child Care setting (Desirable)
Understanding of the accountability and parental expectations placed on staff working in the independent sector (Desirable)
Competent IT skills to support activities and IT-based admin tasks (Desirable)
Driving Licence with D1 category (Desirable)
Child Protection and Safeguarding Training (provided by the school) (Desirable)
First Aid Training (provided by the school) (Desirable)
A full and relevant Level 3 EYFS qualification (or equivalent) (Essential)
Knowledge and experience of delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (Essential)
Evidence of motivating, inspiring, and leading young children (Essential)
Experience with appropriate strategies for managing pupils behaviour and progress (Essential)
