Specialising in exceptional education and care for students aged 10-19 with complex needs, including Asperger's Syndrome, Autism, and more, the school is in search of a Level 1-2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the academic and personal development of the students. You will provide essential support for their learning and well-being, helping each student reach their full potential in a nurturing and secure setting. Your responsibilities will also include attending to care needs and managing positive behaviour tailored to each student's unique needs.
Your role involves creating warm, supportive relationships with the pupils, fostering a safe and engaging learning environment. You will encourage independence and personal growth while maintaining high behavioural standards. In collaboration with the class teacher, you will help deliver high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational experiences, ensuring every student excels.
Successful applicants will undergo pre-employment safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check. This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, meaning candidates must disclose all convictions and cautions (including those "spent" unless protected under DBS filtering rules) to ensure suitability for working with children.
