Career Teachers are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work within secondary schools based around Sheffield and South Yorkshire. These will be to work on either a full-time and long-term basis or part-time, day to day basis.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team of professionals for secondary schools across Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham & Chesterfield!

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant through our agency, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of secondary schools, supporting teachers and enhancing the learning experience for students. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation.
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
• Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN).
• Helping to create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assisting with the assessment and recording of student progress.
• Supervising students during break times, school trips, and extracurricular activities.
• Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.

Requirements:

• A genuine passion for education and working with young people.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adaptability and the ability to work in different school environments.
• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
• A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
