An inclusive and supportive primary school in Haringey is searching for a committed Teaching Assistant to join their Year 6 team. This role involves general classroom support as well as providing focused 1:1 assistance to pupils with high emotional needs and Autism. These pupils are not challenging but require a calm and nurturing Teaching Assistant to guide them through their final year of primary school.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Offer 1:1 support to pupils with emotional and social needs, ensuring they feel supported and encouraged.
• Help maintain a positive learning environment, fostering confidence and academic growth.
• Collaborate with staff to implement strategies for student success.

Teaching Assistant - What the School is Looking For:

• An experienced Teaching Assistant with a background in supporting children with Autism or emotional needs.
• Someone who is patient, empathetic, and skilled at building trusting relationships with pupils.
• A team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to different situations.
