Are you a compassionate and dedicated professional with a passion for supporting children's learning? We are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 6 pupil, providing tailored support to help them thrive both academically and personally.
This part-time role (Thursday and Friday) offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a pupil's educational journey within a nurturing and inclusive school environment.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil, ensuring their individual learning and emotional needs are met.
- Assist in implementing tailored strategies and interventions designed to help the pupil succeed.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff to deliver a consistent and effective support plan.
- Encourage independence while fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Support the pupil during lessons, group activities, and transitions throughout the school day.
The Candidate
- Experience working with children in a primary school setting, ideally supporting Key Stage 2 pupils.
- Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with additional needs (e.g., SEND, behavioural or learning challenges).
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
