The Opportunity:

Our schools have an exciting opening for Teaching Assistants in Sussex. These are full-time, term-time-only, permanent positions. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome learning challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students across various subjects in the primary and secondary schools.

  • Collaborate closely with teachers to plan, create, and deliver tailored learning activities for individuals, groups, or entire classes across all grade levels.

  • Provide personalised learning support, aligned with a student-centered approach.

  • Motivate and guide students, helping them develop essential attributes, skills, and knowledge.

  • Foster positive and lasting relationships with students, addressing their unique learning needs.

  • Monitor and assess student progress using various evaluation methods.

  • Provide objective and comprehensive feedback and reports on student performance.

  • Contribute to the institution's broader vision and mission.

You Will:

  • Have recent experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a related role, or demonstrate a strong passion for working with students aged 7+.

  • Possess knowledge of, or a willingness to learn about, the National curriculum and additional support needs.

  • Exhibit effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and personal integrity.
