Reeson Education is excited to be working with a dedicated SEND setting in the Trafford area to find a passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. This role offers an incredible opportunity to support children with special educational needs while working in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Teaching Assistant Key Details:
- Position: Teaching Assistant
- Location: Trafford area (precise location undisclosed)
- Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, term time only
- Pay: £102 - £105 per day
- Duration: Long-term, with potential for a temp-to-perm placement
Teaching Assistant Essential Requirements:
- A full UK driving license with business insurance is essential as you will be taking pupils for exciting days out.
- Ability to transport pupils for community-based learning experiences.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience for the successful Teaching Assistant:
- A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred but not essential).
- Experience working with children with ASC, sensory needs, or learning disabilities.
- Familiarity with communication methods such as PECS is advantageous.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs in both classroom and community settings.
- Assist in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the Lead Teacher and external specialists.
- Facilitate interactive and inclusive learning experiences tailored to pupils' individual needs.
- Support personal development, behaviour management, and communication skills for pupils.
- Organise and deliver activities that extend learning beyond the classroom and into the community.
