The Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a student with special educational needs (SEND). You will provide tailored support to ensure that the child’s educational experience is as positive and productive as possible. This is a rewarding role for someone who is committed to helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the child with their learning in the classroom, helping to implement specific strategies to meet their needs.
• Assist in the preparation of learning materials and activities.
• Work closely with the class teacher to monitor progress and adapt the support based on the child’s development.
• Help create a nurturing and inclusive environment where all children can thrive.
• Provide regular feedback to the teacher and parents on the child’s progress.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children, preferably within a primary school setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
• A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) would be desirable.
