Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Trafford, WA15
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM start, variable finish times between 3:05 PM and 4:00 PM
Salary: £13.03 to £14.54 per hour

Reeson Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN provision in the Trafford area. This full-time, long-term role involves supporting pupils across the setting who experience social anxiety, SEND needs, and difficulties thriving in mainstream schools. The role requires a patient and compassionate individual who can provide both academic and pastoral support to ensure pupils feel safe, secure, and ready to learn.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support as a teaching assistant for pupils with social anxiety and SEND needs
  * Foster a safe and structured learning environment where pupils feel secure
  * Assist pupils in developing confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
  * Support classroom teachers in delivering tailored learning strategies
  * Help manage emotional and behavioural challenges using de-escalation techniques

Requirements for the Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working as a teaching assistant working with pupils with SEND, SEMH, or social anxiety in an education or care setting
  * A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to supporting pupils
  * Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children and staff
  * Commitment to a full-time, long-term role within a specialist setting
