SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Behaviour Support - Primary School in Tottenham - ASAP Start

A primary school in Tottenham (Haringey) is seeking a resilient and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with behavioural needs due to past trauma. This SEN Teaching Assistant role requires someone who can build trust, implement behaviour strategies, and support emotional regulation.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:

• Work 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil, offering emotional and behavioural support.
• Help the child engage in lessons and develop self-regulation strategies.
• Implement interventions to promote positive behaviour and social development.
• Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals.

SEN Teaching Assistant - Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, behaviour mentor, or support worker.
• Psychology graduates or those with a background in child development are encouraged to apply.
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via Reeson Education.
