Here at Justteachers we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic Primary school in Kings Lynn. This full-time position will start after the Easter half-term and run through to the end of the academic year July 2025.
Your day will involve supporting the teacher in class, working with students on tailored activities, and assisting with personal care needs where necessary. Youll play a crucial role in helping children with SEN to access the curriculum and reach their potential.
This small Primary school creates a warm and inclusive environment where everyone can feel safe and welcomed.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting class teachers throughout EYFS - KS2.
Deliver tailored 1:1 support and group interventions where required.
Foster a positive and encouraging environment to help develop confidence and independence.
Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to implement personalised learning strategies.
Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the student remains engaged and supported.
Support the students emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour and well-being.
Provide personal care if required, ensuring the students comfort and dignity.
Key Requirements:
A minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
Two education or school based references.
Previous experience working with children with behavioural challenges (desirable).
Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting students.
