Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for a PART TIME Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs department in a high performing college in Newcastle
You will work 6 Hours per day 2/3 days per week - other shift patterns are available !
This Teaching assistant role will suit anyone with other work or family commitments and its term time only .

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work with post-16 pupils aged 16 to 19. In this role you will be providing 1:1 support to a Learner with Additional Needs . As a Teaching assistant, you will be providing in-class support, assisting with tailored educational plans to meet the diverse needs and abilities of each pupil . You will work in a busy, friendly and supportive department where no 2 days will be the same ! This is a great place to be a Teaching Assistant !!
We are accepting applications from those with Education experience but please apply if you have any of the following experience -
Challenging SEN Provisions, Youth/ Community/ Social services, Residential Support, Ex Military/ Police/ Prison/ security services or Mental Health Support Services (including CRISIS or Suicide prevention), Sports Coaching or any relevant voluntary roles.
Candidates with a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification are also encouraged to apply !
