We are currently looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our client school, a well-established and supportive primary school in Hatfield, for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid SEN experience who is passionate about helping children reach their full potential.
About the Role:
You will be working with small groups of pupils who are not yet working at age-related expectations. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), with many having a diagnosis of Autism and associated Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). Some children may also display challenging behaviour.
In this role, you'll work closely with class teachers to provide personalised support, helping pupils engage in learning and develop both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Pupils:
Deliver targeted support to individuals or small groups under the guidance of the class teacher.
Follow pupils' EHCPs and behaviour plans, applying agreed strategies and reporting changes or concerns.
Assist in managing behaviour positively and sensitively, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
