Randstad has an opportunity available for an experienced Teaching & Training Operational Excellence Manager to join the team at Belfast Metropolitan College.

Leading the team on teaching and learning across the college including overseeing the pedagogical practice and development for all academic and delivery staff. Support and lead a working group to arrange whole college CPD events and support staff members responsible for delivery of TAQA A1/V1 qualifications. Lean into supporting external stakeholders on teaching practice and opportunities for pedagogical support at the college.

Requirements


  • A Degree (level 6) qualification specific to Teaching & Learning Or A Degree (level 6) qualification and PGCE.
  • A minimum of 3 years people management experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience of driving people related performance improvements - at an organisational level - through either training & development programmes OR people focused activities.
  • Demonstrable experience in the use of innovative techniques and technology, in the field of learning/training.
  • Experience of developing blended learning programmes for educational, or business settings.
  • Experience of negotiation, consultation and influencing at a senior level to achieve positive, measurable results.
  • Excellent IT/Computer Literacy skills; computer literate on all main packages, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting (including an enhanced access NI check) and compliance due to the nature of this work.

Responsibilities


  • Actively encourage and value feedback from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in identifying and agreeing the people development priorities for the College.
  • Provide support that links the outcomes from the annual programme of classroom/lesson observations to training and development sessions/programmes/interventions.
  • Lead on reporting to the cross-College management groups - around quality of teaching and learning relating to staff development, training and support programmes.
  • Support the CIT and PGCE participants through providing appropriate support and development.
  • Develop a range of appropriate, high quality training interventions to be rolled out for staff across the College in conjunction with specialist input where appropriate.
  • Act as an internal learning & development consultant to departments across the academic and support services within the College.
  • Lead a pedagogy team and embed a strong performance culture among the team.
  • Develop and communicate an online repository of resources, toolkits and online tutorials and virtual learning to provide information on current best practices, innovations and emerging trends.
  • Establish effective working relationships with counterparts in other educational establishments that advance the positive and effective use of technology in teaching, learning and assessment, leadership and organisational development.
