This role is based at our nursery in Spalding, Lincolnshire. An exciting opportunity to join a well-established business. Sarah Ravens Kitchen & Garden is an award-winning online gardening business, which offers carefully tried and tested plants, seeds, bulbs and gardening kit, all personally selected by Sarah Raven, the well-known author and broadcaster.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Leading one of our picking and packing teams to ensure customer orders are accurately fulfilled and packed to a high standard prior to shipment. A chance to enhance your leadership skills and grow your knowledge with full support and training.
Reporting to Site Supervisor
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the daily operation and supervision of staff.
Ensuring all operational processes are followed and adhered too.
Providing leadership, guidance and support to all colleagues.
Organising daily tasks, ensuring all KPI targets are met.
Resolve daily challenges whilst ensuring all process are maintained.
Completion of operational paperwork ensuring accuracy.
Attending daily operational meetings, ensuring all KPIs are presented.
Following health and safety policies and procedures
Follow clean as you go policy.
Always following health and safety policies and procedures while on site
Flexibility to work and support all roles and tasks at the nursery.
Added tasks from time to time will be needed for the development of the business for which instruction and training will be provided.
KEY SKILLS
Ability to use a scanner and operate a PC workstation.
Understanding of work-based instructions
Team Player and good communicator
The ability to work under pressure with a quick-thinking approach
Happy to help attitude
Good understanding of spoken and written English language
Must have reliable means of transportation
Experience in working in a horticultural environment
Horticultural knowledge an advantage
