Team Manager, Screening Team, Leicestershire

About the role:
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join our Screening Team in Leicestershire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of social workers and deputy team managers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and families in need.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of social workers and deputy team managers
- Allocate cases and assess caseloads
- Provide consultation on complex cases
- Manage budgets
- Investigate complaints and disciplinary matters
- Chair meetings
- Accompany social workers on home visits
- Attend court and give evidence
- Audit files
- Implement policies and procedures
- Identify and implement staff training and development
- Ensure that activities within the Council's safeguarding services are carried out to agreed service standards within available budgets, and in line with legislative, regulatory and national minimum standard requirements
- Manage the recruitment and selection process for all members of staff �
Essential requirements:
- Recognised social work qualification
- SWE registration
- Current or recent experience as a manager within a screening or MASH team
Desirable requirements:
- Experience of working in a local authority children's services department
- Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and procedures
