Technical Author

We are recruiting Technical Authors to work for this large power transmission and distribution organisation. The ideal candidate will be experienced in writing technical documentation for industrial equipment.

Overview:

• Diligently reviewing all information provided by contributing parties to then create a project specific manual, covering Installation, Operation and Maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure all information covered within the manual is presented in a coherent and understandable manner.
• Ensure the manual clearly demonstrates the correct operating methods sequences.
• Ensure the manual is arranged in a logical way, which allows the user to quickly find information.
• Provide a clear list of recommended spares that a future owner would need for potential maintenance and repairs.
• Clearly outline all potential hazards from misuse that any operator of the equipment should be aware of.
• Ensure the manual provides all information to required for the safe decommissioning and deconstruction of the asset.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years spent preparing technical documentation.
• Understanding of the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment.

Details:

• Hybrid role - Minimum 3 days on site in Stafford
• �32-�35p/h.
• Provisional 5 month contract - view to be extended.
