Technical Author

Technical Author - Walsall

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking a Technical Author for a long-term contract opportunity based in Walsall. This role falls outside of IR35, with pay rates dependent on experience, ranging from �30 to �40 per hour, negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, and training materials.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to gather information and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare clear and concise documentation to support manufacturing, testing, and project completion.
• Ensure all documentation meets industry standards and client specifications.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Technical Author.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical information.
• Proficiency in using documentation tools and software.
• Background in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, or rail is advantageous.

Contract Details:

• Duration: Minimum of 12 months with a possible extension to 36 months.
• Possibility for hybrid working once the project is established.

Pay Rate:

• �30 to �40 per hour, negotiable depending on experience.
