Technical Business Analyst - Insurance - Permanent - Remote

A Technical Business Analyst is required to join a specialty insurance organisation and be part of an exciting ongoing transformation as they are moving to an Agile and Product led business.

The role will be part of the underwriting product team and support the implementation of a large portfolio of products across the business, as well as play a key role helping to realise company's overall product strategy.

The successful candidate will with experience in delivering system implementation and integration, with excellent business stakeholder management and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally. Insurance background is a bonus.

You will be joining the company in times of growth so the role will have a great exposure to various streams of works & continuously changing portfolio of products so looking for a self-starter who is looking to build on their existing experience & work in a dynamic environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone new to the insurance but looking to break into the industry and be part of an exciting technological transformation.

The role is permanent and remote with only one day every three weeks required on-site in their London office.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing clear set of requirements to help the team deliver product change in line with the defined delivery framework
  • Clearly understand processes from technical and users' perspective and their impact on the business
  • Utilise various data sources to recognize trends and make decisions to drive change
  • Perform detailed & critical analysis of various parts of our ecosystem as required, provide clear & concise feedback & make efficient suggestions for improvement
  • Work closely with delivery teams and translate business requirements into user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Support the product incident management process by prioritisaion and investigation
  • Build new and maintain existing relationship with internal and external stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Business Analyst experience, ideally from Lloyd's/London Market specialty insurance but not a must
  • Experience of delivering insurance products and knowledge of different product offerings and underwriting tools
  • Working knowledge in data models, APIs and SQL
  • Experience in Kanban and Scrum, as well as Agile methodology
  • Strong relationship management skills, with keen eye for detail & excellent analytical thinker
  • Excellent verbal, written & presentation communication skills, organizational skills, & attention to details
