Technical Consultant

PRINCIPLE TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT:Principal Technology Consultant UK The Principal works closely with different customers to lead technical implementations, gather their technical requirements, participate actively in technical workshops, write technical specifications, support configuration and testing processes and oversee the actual product implementation on a technical perspective.You will analyse complex problems associated with solutions that are born in the cloud and built on microservices architecture. You will provide technical support and expertise all-throughout the lifecycle of the supply chain software implementation. You will perform development for our product throughout the project life cycle including design, create technical design specs, software development, testing, issues analysis and resolution, and implementation/post implementation support. You will work with our customers to understand and gather their business requirements and actively lead in technical design workshops to implement them.The principal is a technical expert that will install our software at customer site providing technical architecture and hardware sizing. You will coordinate development for customizations of our software solutions and be responsible for delivering quality software to customers. You also help tier one customers in their application management and monitoring, ensure and tune the performance of the application as per customer requirements, and be involved in integrating solutions with other enterprises applications.To achieve all of these, you will be supported by our collaborative teams located in Europe, the Americas and India. You will be based in our Winnersh Triangle, Reading office (hybrid). As a part of project implementation, you may be required to travel to customer site/office and perform your duties.Here’s few things that we see as critical for someone to be successful in this role:• You are willing to work in a challenging and ever-changing environment with cutting-edge technology• You will be incredibly detail-oriented and customer focused, you are a get things done person and want to be measured by your output rather than your input.• You will have strong problem solving and planning skills.• Knowledge in scripting and programming languages (SQL, Java and Shell scripting are essential, and Python or C++ recommended)• Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture, Spring boot and REST API design.• Good understanding of concepts like virtualization, networking, wide area networks.• Good Linux knowledge• Good understanding of networking, security, and protocols (HTTPS, SSH, TLS etc.)• Good understanding of configuration management, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and concepts of infrastructure as code.• Strong skills in code management, especially with Git/GitHub, Jenkins.• Proven ability in working on technical implementations of enterprise SaaS applications, as well as supporting such applications using monitoring tools like Kibana, Elastic Search.• Good understanding of enterprise system integration (REST, SOAP, JMS, Pub/Sub and similar)• Google Cloud certification / experience is a big plus• You will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or equivalent through business experience.• You will have good reading, writing, and fluency in English.
