Technical Controller - Food Manufacturing

CSG Talent are partnered with a well-established food manufacturing business who are hiring a Technical Controller to play a crucial role in transformation & development plans in relation to key strategic growth targets. Reporting into the MD, you will lead on continuous process improvement across a wide range of technical functions, ultimately playing a crucial role in the business achieving key goals over the next few years.This position will have a huge impact on the development of the business from multiple angles & will offer varied responsibilities, focuses & projects with opportunities to work strategically as well as hands on with multiple functions within the business as well as with customers.Responsibilities:Oversee Food Safety, Quality, Environment, Health and Safety, Legislative and customer compliance functionsHigh level of communication & collaboration with Technical, QA, Commercial, NPD, Purchasing, External Customers teamsMaintain, develop and implement all systems, policies and procedures relating to the company technical function including quality, safety, hygiene and ensuring fit for purpose.Investigate and respond to customer complaints within a timely manner, including full trace-ability to assist in root cause analysisOverseeing the factory technical function, supporting the implementation and maintenance of the Technical and Quality Standards across the site.Liaise with key customer contacts and work in partnership with them to analyse, resolve and prevent technical issuesRequirements:Proven track record within a leadership setting focusing on technical aspects of a food manufacturing businessExperience with a business who have customers at a 'premium' retail levelTrack record of leading transformational & process improvement projects across multiple technical functionsStrong communication & leadership skills, with ability to influence teams to work in the same directions & make positive, lasting changesBig personality with ability to get 'hands dirty' when needed, who enjoys this side of things alongside strategic work.If you are interested in this opportunity, please reach out to Harry Barker at CSG Talent for further information or click apply.
