JOB- Technical Manager
LOCATION- Spalding
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- �55,000 to �65,000 per annum
My client designs and manufactures a range of special purpose machinery for various sectors. They are looking to expand their team by taking on a Technical Manager to work in their offices in Spalding.
The Technical Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

• Knowledge/Experience in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
• Engineering qualification�in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
• Proven experience in managing engineering teams and projects
• Strong understanding of special purpose machinery design and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong leadership and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Willingness to travel when required

The Technical Manager role will involve:

• Leading and managing the current engineering team
• Overseeing the design and development of products
• Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
• Design, test and implement PLC, BMS and control systems
• Coordinating with other departments (e.g., sales, production) to ensure project requirements are met
• Conducting technical reviews and providing guidance to the engineering team
• Implementing and maintaining engineering best practices and standards
• Preparing and presenting project reports
• Supporting business development activities by providing technical expertise and input
