Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Technical Manager to join their business.
Reporting into the Head of Technical, this role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.
Responsibilities include:
* Oversee technical functions for all products, ensuring efficiency in quality, compliance, and specifications for both retail and home delivery.
* Manage retail customer requirements, delivering brand protection and upholding company values.
* Lead and enhance external supplier standards in collaboration with the Technical Compliance Manager.
* Manage, train, and develop site technical teams and quality managers, aligning processes and procedures across customers.
* Build, report, and improve group KPIs for site standards, product quality, compliance, culture, and specifications.
* Standardise supplier compliance with effective performance monitoring and implement plans for continual improvement in quality and processes.
* Support HACCP teams, ensuring regular meetings and implementation of learnings.
* Manage technical crises, monitor quality issues from raw material suppliers, and ensure safe and legal product production across all sites.
* Foster internal collaboration, ensuring all customers have live, managed, and approved supplier lists, particularly for gifting supply chains.
* Drive improvements in sustainability practices, ethical compliance, and supply chain processes internally and externally.
