Job Title: Retrofit and Renewable Technical Manager
Location: Jarrow, Tyne and Wear
Salary: Up to £50,000 (plus Car or allowance)

About the Role:
The Retrofit and Renewable Technical Manager will oversee the team of UK wide assessors, ensuring they deliver high-quality assessments under various retrofit and renewable schemes.
The role involves managing direct labour and subcontractors, maintaining assessment quality, and supporting UKAS accreditation processes.
Responsibilities for Renewable Energy Technical Manager:
Lead a team of UK-wide assessors, including conducting quarterly one-to-ones, managing technical queries, and ensuring compliance with SLAs.
Conduct site observations, internal quality management, and standardization meetings.
Oversee subcontractor management, talent development, and resource identification.
Provide technical support to head office, ensure adherence to standards and legislation, and contribute to strategic planning.
Perform more complex assessments, including head office assessments and site assessments.
Lead UKAS site inspections and verifications.
Skills and Qualifications for Renewable Energy Manager:
Essential:
At least 5 years of managing teams.
2 years in a compliance/auditing/assessment role.
Have one of the following disciplines:
A Qualified Electrician
A Qualified Gas Engineer
Qualified Retrofit Installer
Qualified Renewable Energy Installer
Desirable:
An understanding of PAS 2030/5 and/or MCS.
GDA, DEA, or equivalent (Retrofit Assessor).
Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination.
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
Relevant qualifications for renewable energy technologies and health and safety.
Personal Attributes for Renewable Energy Technical Manager:
