Job Title: Technical Manager
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: c£48K plus benefits
Overview: We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, factory based Technical Manager to drive standards across the factory. They’re in a strong position with a BRC A+ but improvements can be made.
This role will require a strong understanding of food safety standards plus the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Experience Required:
* Strong understanding of food safety standards, and the ability to lead and manage a team effectively
* Previous technical or quality management experience.
* Leading BRC, internal and retailer audits.
* Operating within the guidelines of BRCGS and customer standards
* Good knowledge of food industry specification portals and approval systems
* HACCP level 3 or above (TACCP / VACCP) and ensure that all operations comply with food safety regulations
* Able to evidence solid planning, organisational and communication skills and a positive outlook.
Responsibilities:
* This role involves ensuring product quality, compliance with health and safety regulations, and optimizing processes.
* As the Technical Manager, ensure that all food safety standards are followed and deliver training on this where necessary.
* Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety policies and conducting regular safety audits.
* Lead, train, and mentor a team, ensuring all staff are skilled in the latest techniques and safety protocols.
* Reporting directly into the MD.
