About the Role:

My developer client is looking for an experienced Technical Manager or Senior Technical Manager to oversee a large residential development in South East London, near Inner London. This project, comprising (Apply online only) units, is at the early design stage, offering a rare opportunity to lead from concept through to final delivery. The role is adaptable, catering to individuals who seek either a broader management position or a focus on hands-on project execution.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage technical aspects of the project from Stage 3 design through to completion

  • Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure project coherence

  • Maintain adherence to UK building codes and regulatory requirements

  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards to ensure successful delivery

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering technical growth within the team

  • Work closely with planning authorities to secure necessary permits and approvals

  • Proactively identify design and construction risks, implementing mitigation strategies

  • Cultivate a positive, collaborative project environment to drive success

Requirements:

  • Strong background in technical management within residential construction projects

  • Experience with consultancy or developer-led projects is preferred

  • In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and technical compliance

  • Proven track record of managing large residential schemes from design to completion

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to work proactively and adapt to project challenges
