About the Role:
My client is seeking a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Manager for a large residential development in South London, comprising (Apply online only) units. The project is at an early design stage, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to lead from Stage 3 through to completion. Whether you are keen to step into a management role or prefer focusing on project delivery, this position offers flexibility to align with your career goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the technical design process from Stage 3 through to project completion

  • Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure design integrity

  • Oversee technical compliance with building regulations and industry standards

  • Drive project delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality expectations are met

  • Provide technical leadership and support to junior team members

  • Liaise with stakeholders, including local authorities, to secure necessary approvals

  • Identify and mitigate project risks related to design and construction

  • Foster a collaborative working environment across all project phases

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a technical management role within residential construction

  • Experience with a developer delivering high rise project would be ideal. Candidates from a consultancy would also be considered for this role.

  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and technical standards

  • Experience managing large-scale residential projects from design to delivery

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive project success

  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
