Technical Metering Engineer

Major Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Technical Metering Engineer for our client who are based in Salford. Due to continued growth and expansion our client are looking to strengthen their technical engineering team

Role & Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Provide maintenance & replacement of communal energy systems, including credit/prepay meters & sub-meters, data loggers, wiring, broadband and BMS systems.
\n
• Work with clients to manage projects from installation, testing and commission systems and ensure remote meter reading capability.
\n
• Work with clients to onboard new metering systems to allow accurate billing of sub-meters
\n
• React to system faults to ensure system down-time is minimised.
\n
• Advise clients on projects covering systems strategy, performance, development from installation, commissioning, sign-off/approval.
\n
• Review and approve any associated engineering change control or commissioning protocol prior to execution.
\n
• Responsible for the asset inventory for systems at different locations.
\n
• Co-ordinate vendors on site and ensure standards are maintained.
\n

The successful candidate:

\n

\n
• Demonstrable experience of metering, data loggers, wired & wireless systems, BMS controls
\n
• Installation, Commissioning & Repair/Maintenance experience of gas, communal energy - heat & hot water, electricity & water meters, ultrasonic, MBUS & LORAWAN systems
\n
• Knowledge and understanding of metering system and BMS architecture, protocols, telemetry and automation systems and assets.
\n
• Excellent IT and data accuracy skills.
\n
• Experience of working in a client facing role
\n
• Current Full UK driving licence required.
\n
• Experience of a range of branded equipment including Elvaco, IZAR, Evinox, MBUS, Sharky, AMR systems, Diehl, Kamstrup, Itron & Siemens
