Location: Leamington Spa (Hybrid Working: Min 1 day/week in office)

The Role:



As a Technical Officer (Agricultural) You will collaborate with the Technical and Business Development Teams, as well as other key stakeholders, to develop and implement our clients’ internal projects and programs.



Responsibilities:




  • Lead and support the execution of activities, tasks, and projects to meet agreed-upon objectives and timelines.

  • Monitor project budgets and timelines, providing reports on progress and deviations as needed.

  • Develop and communicate project and program plans, coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure understanding and adherence to timelines.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on the progress of tasks, projects, and programs.

  • Offer support to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Conduct or assist with progress and impact analyses.

  • Contribute to the development of our client’s core resources and services, and support both virtual and in-person events.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with project and program stakeholders, members, supporters, and key influencers, supporting business development activities as directed.

  • Perform any other tasks as required to support operational priorities.



What we need from you:



Knowledge and Experience:




  • Strong background in the agricultural sector.

  • Proven experience in task and project coordination, with a track record of meeting defined priorities and targets.

  • Proficient in using databases and handling technical data.

  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to write detailed reports and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder audiences, including delivering occasional presentations.



Skills and Experience:




  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the agricultural industry.

  • Experience in coordinating tasks and projects.

  • Proven ability to work towards defined priorities, deadlines, and targets.

  • Exceptional communication, report writing, and presentation skills.



Person Specification:




  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline or industry sector.

  • Proactive and self-managing, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

  • Creative, with a problem-solving mindset.

  • Personable, adaptable, flexible, practical, and hands-on.

  • Skilled in building effective relationships and influencing others.
