We are looking for an Applications Engineer to join our Technical Operations department at our Warrington depot.
About the role
The role involves providing technical product, or special product modification / applications support, as required, to the Sales Operations, Workshops, Rental and nominated Dealers.
On a day-today basis this is what you would be doing:
* Compile and process orders for any special product modifications that are not in the company product price list.
* Design, develop and document UK/EU compliant modifications to an acceptable degree of detail that allows solutions to be produced quickly and cost effectively, whilst always maintaining agreed compliance, quality and safety levels.
* Provide quotations for special product modifications to Sales or nominated Dealers.
* Ensure that all product configurations and modifications meet the requirements of the UK/EU product manufacturing regulations, directives and associated standards.
* To assist with, or carry out, any task or testing associated with ensuring that modified trucks and relevant documentation comply with existing UK/EU product manufacturing regulations, directives and associated standards.
* Advise on specification and configure trucks for operation in VNA applications.

* Mechanical Engineering related qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
* Previous relevant industry experience.
* Electrical engineering knowledge.
* Computer literate, with experience of MS operating systems and software. E.g. MS Office
* A pro-active approach to problem solving.
* Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
* Effective written and communication skills.
* Self-Management skills including time management and planning.
