A BOUT US Tillicoultry Quarries is a successful and fast-growing family-owned quarrying company and major supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mixed concrete, mortar, render and sports sand to the building and road construction industry. We operate at over thirty-one sites throughout Central Scotland, the Northeast of England, and East Anglia.
Due to our continued success and rapid growth, we are seeking a Technical Product Development Manager to join our mortars and renders division. The Technical Product Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing the product development process from planning to execution throughout the product lifecycle to deliver business objectives in line with market demand. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, project management skills, innovative thinking and customer focus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Market research conduct market research to identify customer needs, stay abreast of market trends and potential opportunities. Conduct competitor analysis to understand competitive landscape.
Product Strategy Develop and articulate a clear product strategy aligned with business goals.
Product Specification Collaborate with cross functional teams and customers to gather and define product requirements.
Collaboration work closely with the commercial team, production and wider support functions to ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
Product Management Implement efficient product development planning and schedules which align with product launch timescales.
Technical expertise possess an in depth understanding of the technical aspects of the product and address technical challenges effectively.
Product Lauch work in collaboration with the commercial team and marketing partners to plan and execute product launches.
Product Performance Monitor and analyse the performance of the product through the development of meaningful KPIs and identify and implement areas for improvement.
Customer Feedback Work closely with the commercial team to analyse customer feedback and continually improve the product.
Regulatory Compliance Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure the product is complaint. With standards.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? Experience working in a product development role within the mortars and renders or a similar sector.
Sound technical skills and understanding of the product development lifecycle.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in collaboration with cross functional teams.
Excellent time management, planning and prioritisation skills.
Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
