**The main requirement for this role is Power Electronics for battery development**Technical programme manager for a supplier of Lithium ion batteries for replacement lead-acid and stationary energy storage applications. This position is on-site full-time in north London, N18.Oversee and programme manage the design, development and launch of AI based hardware products for the Lithium battery market.Provide guidance and leadership for technical programmes across the company.Manage, develop and mentor engineering team consisting mechanical, software, production and electronics engineers.Programme manage government funded projects in collaboration with industrial partners and research universities. Conduct technical reviews and actively manage projects to ensure they are on time and on budget.Support business expansion plans and provide guidance to management team on overseas business setup, logistics and contract electronics manufacturing.Work with Marketing team to develop marketing literature and content for various AI based products.Technical ManagementProvide electrical and electronics engineering recommendations and technical support on engineering reviews, strategic plans, and projectsManage resource allocation, budgeting, resource planning, and schedulingManage unit and development cost estimations and help with sourcing raw materials for various products in development.Take a hands-on approach with electronics and electrical hardware-based products and help the engineering teams with testing, trouble shooting and debugging products.Create project plans and maintain an up-to-date design and manufacturing process.Manage and develop a robust engineering strategy to ensure engineering best practices.Lead design reviews and create production plans in collaboration with Contract electronics manufacturing companies.Liaise with companies in China, and India to manufacture sub-assemblies and box build and CE certifications.Qualifications and experience:Min 10 year's overall experience in Industrial, Lithium battery, automotive or aerospace markets.Min 5 year's experience in a Lead or engineering manager/technical project manager capacity.At least 5 year's experience in design and development of electronics hardware.Experience working with Chinese and Indian suppliers will be a distinct advantage.Degree qualified in Engineering: Electronics, Power electronics, Electrical or Mechatronics.Master's degree is preferred. Project management qualification PMP or Prince 2 is desirable.
