Our client are specialists in intelligent drive technology and tailor-made services, supporting industries like oil and gas, energy, mining, mechanical engineering, ship technology, rail, and commercial vehicles. With a UK base in Croydon, they provide comprehensive aftermarket support, including spare parts supply, repairs, and overhauls - both in their workshop and at customer locations.

The Role:

As a Technical Sales Manager - Rail & Marine, you will play a key role in driving sales growth across the UK and Ireland markets. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven professional with a technical sales background in rail to take the lead in expanding their business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies for service packages and spare parts for Rail products.

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key industry players

  • Manage commercial enquiries, prepare quotations and tenders, and negotiate contracts.

  • Provide technical support to customers and deliver product presentations.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, creating a strong sales pipeline.

  • Monitor market developments and report on industry trends.

What We're Looking For:
  • Minimum 5 year's experience in sales within the UK rail sector (marine experience beneficial).

  • A mechanical engineering degree or equivalent (HNC or similar).

  • Strong industry contacts and key account management experience.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach with the ability to work independently.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work in varied and sometimes challenging environments.
