Power On, who are part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for a Technical Senior Design Engineer, based in our Major Projects team, who would like to help us reach our mission of making lasting connections with our customers to improve their lives.
As the Technical Senior Design Engineer your key responsibilities are
Monitor and deliver compliant and fit for purpose designs in line with business targets
Ensure any design related cost and programme impact is identified and addressed accordingly
Provide design review for team members to ensure quality of design packs
Take part in ongoing training, supporting to identify requirements and develop training programmes
Drive efficiency by monitoring team performance against productivity standards
About you
Degree in engineering or equivalent
Demonstrable experience within ICP industry, delivering 11kV and 20kV complex designs
Design of primary substation from 33kV to 132kV would be advantageous
Previous experience of design project management
Working knowledge of AutoCAD/GIS, Trimble, IPSA and Cableizer
Knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards, Codes of Practice and Engineering Recommendations
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders ensuring critical path is met
Proactive, approachable and committed to delivering excellent customer service
