Technical Services Manager
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000
Location: Wiltshire
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours

Role & Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and maintain the supplier and raw material approval system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage end-to-end specification systems for raw materials, factory specs, finished products, and QAS.
  • Facilitate customer technical site visits, reviews, and meetings, collaborating with QA, Technical, and Commercial teams.
  • Handle customer complaints and manage the B2B complaints/rejection database, ensuring timely resolution and corrective actions.
  • Participate actively in 2nd and 3rd party audits.
  • Conduct internal audits as directed by the Group Technical Systems Manager.
  • Manage the product recall test and challenge programme, ensuring compliance with customer and third-party requirements.
  • Oversee the new equipment change management process, working with various departments to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Packing Centre and the broader Technical Management team.
  • Support the development of a robust food safety and quality culture across the business.


Qualifications / Experience:


  • Degree in Food Science/Technology or equivalent.
  • Food Hygiene Level 4.
  • Lead Auditor qualification.
  • HACCP Level 4.
  • Recognised food labelling qualification.
  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience in food manufacturing within a technical services management/customer-facing role.
  • Experience with building strong customer relationships, particularly with major retailers like Waitrose, Tesco, M&S, and Sainsbury's.
