Role Title: Technical Service Manager
Location: Remote across the portfolio Main Duties & Responsibilities:• Ensuring the Company always meets its contractual obligations professionally and safely.• To ensure that the Company delivers on its contractual obligations professionally, in line with best practice, on time and in a cost-efficient manner.• To be fully conversant with the portfolio contracts.• To provide monthly status reports on the portfolio performance.• Liaising regularly with the Account Director/Manager to review the workforce and portfolio performance.• Ensure all PPMs are injected and aligned to client and vendor planners and assigned within the agreed timeframes.• Provide technical support for the engineering team and our clients.• Ensure all Risk Registers are updated and kept relevant, these include Commercial, Operational and Environmental. They need to be always made available on request.• Delivery of all contractual KPI's within the agreed SLA's.• Ensure that all invoicing requirements are with the contract administration team in a timely order each month to enable the business unit to meet its forecasted turnover month on month.• Manage all reactive backlog targeted for no aged reactive of 30 days +.• BVL Drive and Delivery - Ensuring that we are engaging with all vendors to improve and enhance service delivery and expectation as well as driving value for money.• Complete the required job, site safety and compliance audits across your own and peers accounts to drive performance and standards.• Manage the WIP for the portfolio and report on it for the end of month. Measured target of no more than 5% over 3 months.• Manage the account supervision of static and mobile engineering team, ensuring that excellent service delivery standards are achieved across the portfolio.• To develop and maintain a quality account team with high levels of morale and motivation.• The employment of relevant competent staff and completion of staff inductions as required by the Company directives.• To demonstrate company values and act as an ambassador of the business by acting professionally at all times.• To ensure that the Company is always presented in a good light.• To produce and validate risk assessments and method statements for the works.• To ensure that all audits are completed in the month and in line with the agreed schedule and Company guidelines. Such reports being submitted to the HSE manager for the account, or his/her line managers as required.• Managing vendor activity on site ensuring that their contractual obligations are being met and that any potential savings are identified working to the best practices and mitigating any risk involved to carry out such tasks.• Checking on PPM activity to ensure quality professional workmanship has been carried out and is on schedule for both internal and external teams.• Produce quotations for extra works as necessary in line with Company guidelines.• Ensure that the appropriate authority levels for bidding and expenditure are not exceeded by all grades of staff.• Build and develop excellent client relationships at all levels.• Presenting opportunities for growth within the business and providing strong business cases for execution.• The production of technical and situational reports as required.• Carry out personal development reviews as required under Company guidelines.• Attending client/subcontractor meetings as required.• Understand and be aware of the requirements of all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality legislation and ensure that all staff are equally aware of their own roles and responsibilities within the Company.• Ensure that all materials and equipment are handled, stored and used with due regard to the relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.• Actively manage and participate in the health and safety processes required under the Company policies and procedures on portfolio including, but not limited to, accident investigation, reporting, risk assessments and auditing• Any other reasonable instruction from the Line Managers.• Co-operating with the company to allow it to fulfil its moral and legal duties and obligations.Essential Qualifications & Experience:• 10 years' experience in Building Services industry• HV/LV authorised person (desirable)• C&G Pts. 1 & 2 in electrical/mechanical or equivalent• 17th or 18th Edition IEE: Wiring and Installation• Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff, or difficult situation.• Ability to operate and investigate CAFM systems.• IOSH Accredited• Demonstrate a good understanding and be technically competent in all building services, UPS, generators, static switches, water treatment, refrigeration and air conditioning and CHP systems.• Ability to lead, motivate and direct a team of static and mobile technicians/operatives.• Pro-active in achieving the highest standard of operation.• Have enhanced IT skills.
