Technical Services Manager

Job Summary
Macdonald & Company are delighted to again be working with a Global Real Estate Consultancy on the appointment of a Technical Services Manager. This role will work on a prestigious, Grade A asset in the City of London which has a rooftop garden available for the general public and a restaurant on the 14th floor. The day-to-day operations of the Estate's hard services will be the focus of the position and you'll take pride leading your service providers to ensure you maintain the most efficient systems and safe working environment.ResponsibilitiesContribute towards the preparation, monitoring and reconciliation of service charge budgetsCheck and approve expenditure against service charge budgetsProvide best in class customer service to internal and external customer baseMaintain regular and effective communication with clients and tenantsManage site based staff, ensuring all people related policies and procedures are followedMaintain regular and effective communication with internal colleagues in Property Management, support functions and the wider Real Estate businessMonitor works conducted/service provided by suppliersAudit and inspect supplier deliveryMeasure and report supplier performance against agreed SLAsManage suppliers to ensure effective, safe and compliant delivery of all M&E related services, including: life safety systems, vertical transportation equipment and public health systemsWork effectively with a range of specialist consultants to deliver agreed outcomesDevelop, agree and manage capital replacement programmesUndertake regular building inspections, complete reports and initiate/progress any required worksManage local environmental activities in order to meet statutory obligations and achieve/retain industry standards e.g. ISO14001 working with sustainability teamPerson specification Qualifications/Key SkillsDegree or equivalentBuilding services related qualificationMembership of a relevant professional bodyNational General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health – accredited by NEBOSHExperiencePrevious experience in a similar TSM roleUnderstanding of commercial leases and the landlord and tenant relationshipGood understanding of service charge budgets and accounting principlesManagement of in-house and supplier staffManagement of supplier relationshipsGood health and safety and environmental knowledgeExtensive mechanical and electrical services knowledgeIT literate – MS Office at intermediate levelExperience of managing multi-site environmentsExperience of managing a single-site environment in excess of 300,000 square feet and/or service charge budgets in excess of 3mLondonCalum MoylanAssociate DirectorLocationCity Of LondonSalary72,000Job TypePermanentReference72483
