If so, Euro London might just have the ideal opportunity for you Currently Euro London Appointments is recruiting for an mid-level Technical Support Engineer to support internal end-users in their central London office, as well as remote colleagues based across Europe. You would join a leading economic consultancy proving vital information for competition policy, economic and financial regulation , public policy making and damages assessment across all industries. You will play an important role in the London office , on a team of 3 other engineers ( 10 in total throughout EMEA ) where you would take shared responsibility for IT issues , providing technical solutions for systems, networks, voice systems, software and hardware devices. Your naturally collaborative approach to working with a wide range of end-users with different levels of IT knowledge is an asset that you are keen to apply to your next opportunity. Please see below the key responsibilities in this position : Working as a technology support advocate for staff in the London office as well as for other remote locations across EMEA. Ability to configure, install and troubleshoot all standard software applications and laptop computers. Configures and supports all standard business apps on our client s mobile devices. Maintaining all video equipment installed in the office and able to provide audio and video calling assistance or staff. Providing local IT leadership through keeping up to date with application software installation and use. Applying up to date knowledge of workstations and servers. Familiar with local and wide area network concepts, LAN/WAN connectivity and data communications protocols. Strong knowledge of PC hardware components and supporting software including messaging clients, web browsers and internet, anti-virus software, office productivity applications and time entry systems. Providing training for new starters on relevant IT systems and services. Familiarity with best practices for recording , updating and resolving service requests and incidents , preferably on ServiceNow. Skills , experience and qualifications required : A Computer Science or similar IT oriented degree or equivalent experience. At least one long term experience in supporting internal clients in a medium-sized office environment ( 40 persons ) in a law firm, consultancy or professional services organisation is essential. At least one long-term professional experience supporting Active Directory, Windows 10 operating systems , Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Cloud Services. Strong remote support experience for supporting EMEA offices without a Support Engineer on-site. Advanced customer services skills. Fluent English with fluency in other languages ( French, German, Spanish, Italian or Finnish) being highly beneficial due to the international nature of the company. The right to work in the UK. Able to work 5 days a week from the office , with the possibility of hybrid work (3 days from the office , 2 from home ) being possible after intial integration into the team. Nice-to-haves : Detailed knowledge of current latest generation PCs, printers and networking and communications interfaces and relationships. Excellent communications ( written and verbal ) , planning , organisation and administrative skills. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced , multi-tasking environment. Ability to work to tight deadlines and sometimes under pressure. Able to handle and balance multiple critical tasks at the same time. The ability to train and instruct others on IT topics at all levels of understanding. Experience with Apple products is a plus. Positive attitude and self-motivated. Able to work remotely from your team with an independent working attitude. Team player adaptable to changing priorities. Competent to work on fairly complex computer and local and wide area networking problems autonomously. Additional occasional duties : Flexible attitude to occasional additional hours and weekend work on a rota basis. Occasional lifting duties up to 50lbs/23kg including moving equipment or furniture up to and flexible to crawl underneath desks or tables to access network jacks and electric receptacles.
