Technical Support EngineerOur IT systems are an essential supporting service for the wider business that the Head of IT is responsible for delivering with the support of the IT Systems Engineer, IT Network Administrator and Dynamics Analyst. Core services are being moved to Microsoft’s Cloud alongside a Change programme of Digital Transformation implementing Microsoft Dynamics.This role is highly visible across all internal areas of the business, as well as interacting with external parties. Support the delivery of effective day to day operational IT and communications services across the organisation.Key Accountabilities Day to day fault analysis and troubleshootinginstalling, configuring and licencing softwareSetting up new hardwareNetwork patchingDetermining requirements for joiners and completing the full new user set up, including user induction.Closing down leaver accountsProviding technical support to ESPUG staff in the use of their computers, mobile devices and installed softwareLogging and responding to IT support requests from ESPUG staffRaising issues with third-party service providers, e.g. managed firewall services, software developers, cloud servicesMaintenance of departmental documentationAssisting with keeping the SharePoint based intranet up-to-date.EssentialFamiliarity with a Microsoft domain environmentUnderstanding and experience of Windows Active Directory; adding users to group, assigning permissions.Experience supporting users with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365, including MS Teams.Experience with managing Microsoft 365 environmentExperience supporting mobile devices on Intune MDMNice to have:Experience with Dynamics 365Experience of working with ISO 27001 Information Security standardMicrosoft PowerPlatformPowershell SharePoint, TeamsBenefits include:Holidays: 24 days, going up to 25 after 3 years and up to 26 after 5 years of employment.
