The University of Salford is now looking for a Technical Team Leader in Creative and Immersive Technologies. For this role we are seeking an experienced, confident, self-motivated manager that can work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
Your outstanding, communication skills, exceptional organizational skills and technical knowledge will shine through as you support and engage with our school management, academic and technical teams.

Our technical teams are highly skilled across a wide range of creative disciplines and are at the forefront of their creative specialisms. They work with the latest developments and technologies in the creative industries and have a passion for inspiring the next generation of Industry professionals. This opportunity is around developing and building a technical team in supporting creative and immersive technologies across the School of Arts, Media, and Creative Technology.
What can you expect to be doing in this role?
Manage and develop a team of technical staff that support programmes of study in digitaldesign, web development, games, immersive interfaces, extended reality (XR) and motion capture.As a technical team leader, you will provide both leadership, knowledge, and support to teaching and learning activities. Support the promotion of external collaborations and income generation possibilities.
Advise on a range of creative processes in digital immersive and interactive technologies that are current within virtual and augmented sphere, whether that is via postproduction, VR/XR development, or motion capture. You will advise and provide guidance to all stakeholders regarding the planning, procurement, and use of facilities around immersive and creative technologies.
Manage and deliver high levels of health and safety compliance within the facilities and processes your team deliver. Maintain appropriate maintenance and security measures for school facilities.
Contribute to our thinking and be challenging on how Salford can transform the way it addresses equity disparities,embraces diversity, and becomes more inclusive.
