Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Telecoms Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team at Stansted Airport, with hybrid working arrangements. This role involves representing technology in the IT Infrastructure team for Mott McDonald, focusing on cabling, comms rooms, diversions, and reviewing airport systems requirements. The candidate will be engaged in the design and build contracts moving from RIBA 2+ to enabling works while developing RIBA 3 for larger extensions. The successful candidate will oversee the planning, design, and execution of telecom infrastructure projects within the airport environment.
Skills:
Experience in telecoms infrastructure design and implementation
Knowledge of cabling and communication room setups
Familiarity with airport systems and requirements
Project management experience
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a hybrid environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of IT infrastructure and networking
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with RIBA stages and construction processes
Software/Tools:
AutoCAD or similar CAD software
Project management software (e.g., MS Project)
Network design tools
IT infrastructure management tools
Certifications & Standards:
Relevant engineering degree or equivalent
Certifications in project management (e.g., Prince2, PMP)
Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance in telecom installations
Familiarity with RIBA stages and construction standards
