Temp Management Accountant

Management Accountant Belfast (Hybrid Working) Temp to Perm contract £45,000 per annum Hays are on the search for a Management Accountant to join our client who is recognised as a global leader in their field, winning awards as one of the top 100 companies to work for in the world. The successful candidate will be working as part of our client's finance team, helping them organise and understand monthly financial information, as well as measuring the financial performance of the company and how it impacts the entire ideal candidate will also have experience running monthly financial reports, projections, KPIs and will have hands-on knowledge of management role will require a close working relationship within the Finance department to ensure compliance with overall business targets and reporting deadlines with a strong focus on accuracy and detail. Key Areas of Responsibility; General Ledger management Preparation of the monthly reporting pack for Corporate accounting, including commentary Budgeting and variance analysis including submission of quarterly budgets, meeting with cost centre managers to discuss variances and determining plans to achieve targets Reporting of payroll by cost centre including accruals (bonus, holiday etc.) Maintenance of bank accounts including bank reconciliations, posting and balancing day to day transactions Monthly Sales Reporting including Revenue Recognition adjustments Warranty provision calculation and analysis of warranty returns Assistance with integration of the financial reporting with the wider group policies and procedures Assisting in year-end statutory audit and corporation tax return computation, and internal audits as required Reconciliation of key Balance Sheet & P&L accounts Internal controls process documentation and assistance from business partners across the organisation in the development of internal controls. Assistance with stock taking as requested by management Provision of any other ad hoc reports as requested by management Any other duties deemed necessary by the Finance Manager Qualifications; Essential - Level 6 accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) Desirable - A degree in a finance or business-related subject or an equivalent qualification Experience Essential - Minimum of 2 years working in an accountancy role Desirable; Previous experience of working in a global company including US GAAP reporting (if applicable) Previous experience of working in a manufacturing company What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
