Temporary HGV2 Driver

Due to staff absence, Manpower Recruitment have an opportunity for a HGV2 Driver to work for a minimum of six weeks.
Main Duties:

• Drive a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) with a Class 2 license (HGV2) for scheduled deliveries and collections.
• Load and unload goods securely and efficiently, ensuring safety during transit.
• Complete pre and post-trip vehicle checks and report any faults or maintenance issues to the fleet manager.
• Follow all relevant traffic laws and health and safety regulations while operating the vehicle.
• Deliver products to designated locations on time, ensuring the highest level of customer service.
• Complete delivery documentation, such as delivery notes and logs, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with the transport team, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery progress or issues.
• Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (HGV2) driving license.
• Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Previous experience driving HGVs, particularly with large vehicles.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and transport legislation.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• A positive attitude, attention to detail, and reliability.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in multi-drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with load securing and handling techniques.
• Experience with route planning and navigation.
