JOB TITLE: Temporary P/T HR Generalist - Immediate start

LOCATION: Tiverton

SALARY: Up to �35,000 PA

HOURS: 3 days a week (core hours, 8:30am till 4:30pm Monday - Friday). Remote working available however the successful candidate must live local to Tiverton.

Office Angels are proud to be recruiting for a HR generalist to join our client based in Tiverton on a temporary basis. Our client holds an excellent reputation within its industry with clients based throughout the UK. They receive great feedback from clients in relation to the high levels of customer service they deliver. They have a head office based in Tiverton with a team on on-site engineers working remotely, remote working is available for this role however you must live local to Tiverton as you will be required to occasionally work from the office. This role is starting immediately for two months with the possibility of being extended, depending on business needs.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing sensitive, lower-level ER cases, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and sickness absence.
  • Conducting investigations and providing expert guidance to ensure compliance with employment law.
  • Handling employee and manager queries, providing timely and accurate HR advice.
  • Ensuring employee satisfaction through prompt and effective communication.
  • Drafting critical HR documents such as disciplinary letters, contracts, and other employment-related correspondence.
  • Ensuring all documentation is accurate, legally compliant, and professionally presented.
  • Assisting in the creation and updating of HR policies and procedures to align with best practices and legal standards
  • Providing expert HR advice on performance management, absence management, employee engagement, and discipline to help managers address employment issues proactively

Essential skills and qualities:

  • Minimum CIPD Level 5
  • Good knowledge of HR best practices and employment law
  • Exceptional organisational skills for managing HR documentation and processes.
  • Effective communication
  • Ability to clearly and confidently communicate HR matters to all levels of the organisation
  • Willingness to work closely with the HR team to maintain seamless HR service delivery
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to remain composed when managing sensitive ER cases and under tight deadlines
