Job Title: Temporary Works Coordinator (Infrastructure)Location: Tuddenham, SuffolkSalary: NegotiableWe have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join a Tier 1 Civil Engineering contractor. This role involves working on multiple major highway schemes, offering the chance to play a critical role in coordinating temporary works activities on significant infrastructure projects.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate all temporary works activities to ensure safety and compliance.Establish and maintain a temporary works register.Ensure relevant information is received from clients, principal designers, and permanent works designers.Prepare comprehensive design briefs in consultation with the project team.Reference any nearby temporary works in the design brief.Issue design briefs to Temporary Works Designers (TWD) for satisfactory design execution.Ensure design checks are conducted by independent parties.Share certified temporary works designs with interested parties, including principal designers, permanent works designers, and clients.Register and record all relevant documents related to the final design.Obtain necessary client and third-party approvals as required by the contract.Provide on-site supervisors with detailed design information, residual risks, and guidance notes.Prepare specific method statements detailing safe work practices.Develop inspection and test plans with appropriate quality control checklists.Verify that any changes in materials or construction align with the original design.Conduct checks, inspections, and tests at appropriate stages.Inform designers of any changes, modifications, or discrepancies in the scheme.Prevent loading or unloading if inspections reveal discrepancies between certified and as-constructed temporary works.Issue permits to load or proceed after satisfactory final checks by the Principal Contractor’s TWC or TWS.Skills Required:In-depth knowledge of temporary works processes and construction methodologies.Strong communication skills to engage with multiple stakeholders.Excellent organisational skills to maintain comprehensive records and manage multiple tasks.Leadership skills to effectively coordinate a team.Problem-solving skills to address and rectify discrepancies in design and construction.Benefits:Generous holiday entitlement, increasing with years of service, plus the opportunity to purchase additional holidays.Wide range of corporate discounts.Cycle to Work schemes.Comprehensive pension plan.Regular Save as You Earn share purchase scheme.Private medical scheme.If you are a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in temporary works coordination, we encourage you to apply for this exciting role.
